A week or two has gone past - I have to think what has happened...
We met here at Ty-Nant a couple of weeks ago, and managed to do a bit to Crymmych arms.
Cleaned up the mess that was left on the rails after my ballasting, connected up the two side boards, and had a test run with a pannier and a coach:

Colin at the controls!
The layout is still in bit of a state - hopefully we will have it in some presentable order in a couple of months, as we have promised to show it at several exhibitions this year.

I acquired some Foamex board to create a backscene, and this is roughly how it will be placed. Not fixed at the moment, as I am hoping that Annie will paint a suitable North Pembrokeshire landscape for us.

Underneath, the board looks like this, with most of the wiring and the point motors protected by removeable panels.

The following Saturday Patrick and I went to Shepton Mallet where the South West Narrow Gauge Club held their 25th and final exhibition. Over 70 narrow gauge layouts were on display! Several good videos are on Youtube, one of which has a very brief shot of Pat and yours truly.
Excellent day out, and I managed to acquire three second hand loco chassis for Colin to work his magic on.

The latest examples of Col's work are pictured below, when he produced them for show-and-tell when we met at Charles house last Tuesday.

They are now off to the paint shop!

Tarra,
Shaun.
