Wednesday meeting this week, as it was the monthly meeting of the Cardi-Bach Railway Society on Tuesday evening.

Anyhow, last night we all met at Ffynnonwen and got the turntable installed on the Cilgerran end of the'Teifi Gorge Railway' layout. A joint effort requiring four of us to fit a 4" diameter piece of kit - but we did it! Here is a picture with one of the locos' sitting on it. It still needs fixing in place properly, and the turning mechanism fitted - but at least it fits in the board!




Charles brought along a pillar drill that was surplus to his requirements as it had a knackered chuck. I swopped a pair of computer speakers for it, and this morning managed to remove the chuck. Got a new one ordered, due at the weekend. Meanwhile I fixed the pedestal to the work bench.

The damaged chuck is on the bench in front. A tapered drive, but not part of the chuck, as we first thought.


Closed the evening with a homemade Cheese, leek and potato flan and the customary bottle (or two) of French Laughing Water.
