The blog is now incorporating the Cardi-Bach Society - more than obvious from the totem or hotdog heading!

With regard to the C-B, we went down to Login last Thursday to help Pete put up the marquee ready for block bookings at the Teashop, and also in readiness for the Gala Weekend.
Couple of pics of the marquee coming together:

Gradually we got there:

and finally finished:

Yesterday I 'borrowed' the layout lights from the Teifi Gorge layout and tried them out on the layout displays in the Museum:

They look better in reality, as the camera is compensating for low light, and I couldn't be arsed bothered to adjust it. Definitely the road to go down, so that is something for us to look into. Also ordered 20 small T-shirts for junior customers. They should be available for the big Weekend.

On to Chuffer jottings
We met here at Llechryd last Tuesday, project for the evening was to fit the electric turntable to the StDogmaels end of the Teifi Gorge layout. Proving a little more difficult than first thought, so there are no pictures of the ensuing mayhem...

Instead a couple of 'show-and-tells'. Colin had made an overhead gantry for engine overhaul, to go somewhere in the Kilgerran yard:

Whilst Patrick showed us the progress on the new 7mm NG diesel loco that we highlighted in the last post:

We repaired to the dining room to finish the evening with chilli-con-carne and the usual embrocation, and watched a collection of silly videos from Youtube...

Next week at Pats, when no doubt the loco will be finished!

Hwyl fawr,
Shaun.
